Plantar fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common conditions seen at the Bankstown Podiatry and Injury Clinic. Plantar fasciitis is a term used to describe heel pain resulting from inflammation of the plantar fascial tendon (most commonly where it attaches to the heel bone).
Plantar fasciitis has many causes such as sudden increases in weight, rapid increases in activity, improper footwear, long periods of standing, regular running and tight muscles.
At the Bankstown Podiatry and Injury Clinic, we have found that many patients suffering with plantar fasciitis have poor foot and lower limb biomechanics. By improving and correcting biomechanical anomalies through orthotics, we can achieve a complete recovery almost every time!
